As the sun drops to the horizon, clouds in the west
conspire to create a magical sunset of orange, gold,
and purple hues highlighting a small valley below
Clingmans Dome. Clingmans Dome is the highest elevation
in the Smoky Mountains and is bisected by the Tennessee
and North Carolina border which runs east to west at
this location.
